This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Game Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality game features and functionalities. Also, collaborate closely with artists, designers, and other developers to create innovative gameplay experiences that captivate and excite players.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities)
- Implement game mechanics, AI, physics, and multiplayer features. Also, maintaining code and fixing game bugs.
- Generating storyboards and game scripts.
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and contribute to technical documentation.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C++, C#, or other relevant programming languages.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve game development processes and techniques.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Passion for gaming and a strong understanding of game mechanics and player engagement principles.
- Ability to solve complicated problems using best practices.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Experience of 3 years with software and tools such as Nuke, 3D Studio Max, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, or other relevant languages used in game development
- Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) and related tools
- Knowledge of 3D mathematics and algorithms used in game development
- Experience with virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) game development
- Experience with APIs, mobile game development and optimization
- Proficiency in FPS and completing a full video game life cycle.
- Good knowledge of data structure such as Spatial Hash Map.
- Familiarity with shader programming and GPU programming.
