This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Test Analyst who will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining a comprehensive suite of test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of our software products. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to deliver high-quality software solutions. 


Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities)  

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of software applications across different platforms (web, mobile, etc.). 
  • Identify, record, and track bugs to resolution using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and create test scenarios that ensure full test coverage. 
  • Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and exploratory testing as needed during the software development lifecycle. 
  • Document test cases, test results, and defects thoroughly and communicate them effectively to stakeholders. 
  • Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) 
  • Identify and document defects and inconsistencies in software functionality, usability, and performance. 
  • Design and implement automated tests to streamline testing efforts and reduce manual testing time. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. 

  

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]   

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 
  • A proven record of experience of 3 years working with software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. 
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript. 
  • Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar. 
  • Understanding of security testing principles and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite). 
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. 
  • Good skills with testing microservices architecture. 
  • Familiarity with SQL and databases for data validation and API testing using tools like Postman or backend testing. 
  • Test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail. 
  • ISTQB or similar software testing certification is a plus.

Qualifications:  Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent.   

Salary:   GBP 40000 to 55000 per annum
