This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Scrum Master who will facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams on Agile principles, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. And collaborate closely with product owners, development teams, and stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities)
- Collaborate closely with product owners to prioritize backlog items and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Support the Product Owner in maintaining a well-refined backlog.
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint progress to stakeholders.
- Remove impediments and foster an environment conducive to high-performing team dynamics.
- Guide and coach the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles.
- Support the Product Owner in maintaining a well-refined backlog.
- Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines.
- Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams assigned to mainly Business as Usual (BAU) work and to a lesser degree, important department initiatives and applicable portions of corporate projects and initiatives.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven 2+ yrs. of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in software development projects.
- Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
- Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of software engineering practices including test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.
- Technical background and understanding of software development processes and practices.
- Ability to coach and mentor teams to embrace Agile practices.
- Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) is preferred.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Business Administration or a related field in the UK or Equivalent.
Salary: GBP 53000 to 70000 per annum
