This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Systems Consultant who have a strong background in analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems solutions. The Systems Consultant will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, provide expert advice on system improvements, and ensure the successful integration and optimization of technology solutions.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities)
- Conduct thorough analysis of clients' current systems and business processes.
- Identify system requirements and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
- Expertise in system integration, migration, and custom software solutions, including API development and integrations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities, to include OS technical support, systems programming and data center capabilities
- Frequently monitor the CRM tool (Ticketing system) for new tickets or updates in existing tickets
- Provide expert advice on best practices and innovative solutions to meet client requirements.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Prepare and present regular status reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Create comprehensive documentation for system designs, configurations, and user manuals.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all consulting activities and client interactions.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience up to 3 years as a Systems Consultant or in a similar technical consulting role.
- Strong knowledge of system architecture, software development, and IT infrastructure.
- Proficiency in various programming languages and software tools.
- Strong understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
- Hands-on experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- Familiarity with serverless architecture and cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Expertise in database management systems (DBMS) like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence (BI) tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for automation and system management.
- Experience with network security protocols and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and identity management (e.g., OAuth, SAML)
- Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Experience with ERP systems, CRM solutions, and other enterprise technologies is a plus.
- Understanding of networking and infrastructure technologies.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, TOGAF) are a plus.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent.
Salary: GBP 52000 to 65000 per annum
