This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Workday Implementation Specialist who will play a major role with the technical design and development of company’s technical offerings.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
- Lead the implementation and configuration of Workday HCM, Workday Financial Management, and other core modules such as Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, and Core HR Processes.
- Manage and configure Workday Business Processes, including designing and configuring workflows for hiring, onboarding, compensation, and performance management.
- Implement Workday Security Setup, including roles, permissions, and access controls to ensure proper segregation of duties and security compliance.
- Perform Workday Tenant Setup and Configuration to ensure proper environment setup and business requirements are addressed across the development, test, and production environments.
- Configure and manage Workday Integrations using Workday EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Workday API, and third-party integration tools to ensure seamless data exchange between Workday and other business systems.
- Lead Workday Change Management efforts, guiding clients through the transition process, including user training, process changes, and communication strategies.
- Provide Workday Functional Configuration expertise across modules such as HCM, Financials, and Payroll, ensuring the system meets the client's needs and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Workday Security Audits and Compliance standards, including maintaining data privacy and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Work with clients to ensure smooth Workday Payroll and Benefits Configuration, including pay rules, deduction setup, and benefits plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance) to ensure integrated Workday solutions that align with business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide troubleshooting and support during the implementation phases, addressing any technical issues and escalating where necessary.
- Document configuration processes, system specifications, and any customizations made during the implementation process.
- Deliver presentations and workshops to educate and train clients on Workday modules, security processes, and best practices.
- Lead post-implementation support and optimization to ensure clients continue to achieve maximum value from their Workday systems.
- Stay up to date on Workday product updates and best practices to guide clients on continuous improvement.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]:
- Proven experience with Workday HCM, Workday Financial Management, and Workday Payroll implementations.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday Business Process Configuration, including designing workflows, approvals, and business rules.
- Experience with Workday EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Workday API, and Workday Integration tools for data exchange and system integrations.
- Strong understanding of Workday Security Setup, including roles, permissions, and access controls to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Hands-on experience in Workday Tenant Setup and Configuration, working across multiple environments.
- Expertise in Workday Change Management to facilitate smooth transitions and system adoption during implementation.
- Experience with Workday Functional Configuration for core modules like Compensation, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Core HR Processes.
- Knowledge of Workday Security Audits and Compliance processes to ensure that system configurations meet security and regulatory standards.
- Proven ability to configure Workday Payroll and Benefits to meet client-specific needs and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance) and client stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage timelines, deliverables, and client expectations during the implementation process.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address system issues and configuration challenges during the implementation phase.
- Workday certifications in relevant areas (HCM, Payroll, Financial Management) are a plus.
