Job title: IT Analyst

Job Purpose:

This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for IT Analyst who will play a major role with the technical design and development of the company’s technical offerings. The position is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
- Translating requirements into functional and non-functional requirements (in use cases)
- Define scope, budget and schedules for operations and special projects. Analyze and track hours for Managed Service Providers and Development team.
- Analyze and document process/workflows and results of business analysis and obtain sign-off from client on the specifications.
- Requirements validation pre-project and translating requirements into functional and non-functional requirements.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues including monitoring logs and performing regular transaction audits.
- Collecting, understanding and documenting the business requirements for change initiatives
- Work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the iterative process of learning, building and deliver, ensuring maximum value and minimal disruption across the business.
- Support with analysis of new product developments, understand the business problems and opportunities to fix those problems.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]
- 2 to 3 years of experience in working as an IT Analyst or in a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Macros, SQL, VLOOKUP in Excel), Jira, Confluence, Tableau.
- Understanding database normalization, schema design, and relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Experience in data related roles, demonstrating customer focus and knowledge of core concepts around ingestion, cleansing, processing and data quality
- Experience with QA, Business User Testing and/or User Acceptance Testing (writing user stories) preferred.
- Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or C# for understanding and possibly writing code.
- Knowledge of and experience with Agile project management methodologies including SCRUM and Kanban.
- Understanding of fundamental networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and basic networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, FTP).
- Skills in creating visual representations of business processes and systems using tools like UML or BPMN.
- Familiarity with various SDLC methodologies like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall, and their application in project management.
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView for data visualization and reporting.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and their services (e.g., compute, storage, databases).

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent.
Salary: GBP 52000 to 65000 per annum
