Mobile Tester

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scripts for mobile applications (iOS/Android), web platforms, and APIs.
• Implement automation frameworks using tools like Appium, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java.
• Conduct API testing to validate integration, performance, and security of backend services.
• Perform database testing and administration on MS SQL, ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, and query efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers) to define test strategies and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Lead customer-facing interactions, including requirement gathering, test plan reviews, and defect resolution discussions.
• Create detailed test documentation (test cases, reports, defect logs) and ensure compliance with QA standards.
• Mentor junior testers and promote best practices in automation and testing methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Expertise:
• 8–10 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, automation testing, and mobile testing (iOS/Android).
• Proficiency in automation tools: Appium, Selenium, Postman (API testing).
• Strong programming skills: JavaScript, TypeScript, Java.
• Experience in database administration (MS SQL), including performance tuning and query optimization.
• Communication & Soft Skills:
• Versant English score of 70+ (or equivalent certification) with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage customer-facing responsibilities and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• ISTQB/QA certifications.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
