We are seeking an experienced F5 Subject Matter Expert to join our team onsite. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in F5 solutions, a robust understanding of enterprise networking, and a proven ability to manage complex projects in dynamic environments. This role requires hands-on leadership in F5 design, migration, and troubleshooting, along with collaboration across teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end F5 projects, including design, deployment, migration, and optimization, while balancing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager) and GTM (Global Traffic Manager) platforms, including installation, upgrades, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Configure and maintain critical F5 components:
- VIPs, Wide IPs, SSL profiles, and certificate management.
- Pool creation, member modifications, and health monitoring.
- Execute F5 migrations across hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or Oracle).
- Develop, customize, and troubleshoot F5 iRules to meet business requirements.
- Provide 24/7 support for critical issues and participate in compensated weekend work for deployments/migrations.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with F5 technologies (LTM/GTM), including architecture, configuration, and management.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals:
- Protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS, FTP, SNMP.
- Concepts: Proxies, load balancing, SSL offloading, DNS resolution.
- Proven expertise in F5 migrations, including hybrid and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting and automating F5 tasks (e.g., iRules, REST APIs).
- Experience with certificate lifecycle management (creation, renewal, deployment).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with cloud-native networking (e.g., Azure Load Balancer, AWS ALB/NLB).
- Exposure to security tools: Fortinet firewalls, Zscaler, or Cisco Routing & Switching.
- Certifications: F5 Certified Administrator/Professional, CISCO CCNA/CCNP, or cloud certifications (Azure/AWS).
