Senior Consulting Engineer - 5-7 yrs
• You will be responsible for designing and deploying solutions for client's customers, focusing specifically on creating high and low-level designs for client's WLAN Solutions.
• This involves working closely with customers, account teams, and business units to develop essential documentation such as Customer Requirements Documents (CRDs), High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), Integration and Acceptance Test Plans, and Assessment Reports.
• Lead pre-sales initiatives to promote wireless value propositions and support internal projects.
• Independently develop wireless solutions across various verticals, including banking, healthcare, industrial, and manufacturing sectors.
• Work in collaboration with Solution Architects and Client Partners to craft complex solutions.
• Mentor junior Network Consulting Engineers and facilitate training sessions and knowledge transfers.
• Conduct wireless network audits to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Build long-term relationships with customers by serving as a trusted advisor, helping them optimize their current network infrastructure and adopt the latest technology trends.
• Be prepared to travel internationally up to 40% of the time.
Role Specific Responsibilities:
• Work extensively with customers along with appropriate internal and external resources (e.g. Client account teams, partners) on the strategy/deployment/optimization of client services and solutions.
• Take leadership role in execution of delivery projects.
• Work on large wireless projects across various industry verticals, including enterprise, industrial, healthcare, and sports.
• Travel to deploy or optimize wireless networks in e.g. conference centers, warehouses, mines, or shipping ports.
• Create, review and approve project deliverables e.g. Design recommendations, High Level Design, Low Level Design, Implementation/Change Management Plans.
• Build and/or leverage test environments as required to resolve complex problems.
Scope:
• Collaborate with other Consulting Engineers in appropriate technology domains.
• Interact with individual contributors, managers, Client partners and customers regularly.
• Provide input to Sales team in creating and demonstrating technology solutions to customers.
Complexity:
• Solve highly complex design problems and identify viable and often innovative options, use analytical skills and judgement to recommend an appropriate solution.
Expertise:
• Requires minimum BSc Computer Science or equivalent plus 8-10 years of experience in wireless and networking environments.
• At least 3 years of implementation and audit experience in IP-based networking solutions.
• Proven customer-facing experience.
• Extensive experience with large network deployments, particularly in sectors such as Enterprise, Banking, Manufacturing, and Warehousing
Skills:
• Design, implementation, and troubleshooting of WLAN networks.
• Familiarity with RF site survey and performance analysis tools such as AirMagnet, EKAHAU, Chanalyzer, or Hamina.
• Experience with Client Wireless Network components, including Wireless LAN controllers, Access Points, and network management products.
Competencies:
• Strong consulting and client-facing skills, including cross-functional influence, and external/internal consulting/partnering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technology strategy and architectural approaches to engineers, executives, and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous workstreams and solve complex problems.
Language Requirements:
• Excellent English and business-level French language skills.
Certifications:
• CCIE Wireless or equivalent certification is required.
• CWNP certifications are a plus.
Desired Skills:
• CCIE Wireless certification preferred.
