This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Oracle Cloud Architect who will play a major role with the technical design and development of company’s technical offerings.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure Oracle Cloud architectures, focusing on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Cloud applications (ERP, HCM, SCM, etc.), and integration solutions.
- Define cloud architecture strategies and guidelines that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Ensure optimal cloud infrastructure architecture for high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery in Oracle Cloud.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business and technical requirements, providing strategic guidance on cloud adoption, cloud migration, and modernization initiatives.
- Advise on best practices for cloud security, governance, and compliance within Oracle Cloud.
- Lead workshops and presentations to communicate cloud strategy, architecture, and technical solutions to key stakeholders.
- Architect and oversee integrations between Oracle Cloud services and on-premises systems, third-party applications, and other cloud platforms.
- Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions and multi-cloud strategies, ensuring seamless operation and data flow between systems.
- Provide guidance on Oracle Cloud application customizations, automation, and integrations.
- Lead cloud migration projects, helping clients transition their existing systems to Oracle Cloud.
- Optimize cloud solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency using Oracle Cloud tools and resources.
- Conduct cloud cost assessments and ensure clients get the most value from their cloud investments by applying cost-effective cloud resources and services.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]:
- Proven experience leading cloud architecture design and implementations for large-scale enterprise clients.
- Deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Cloud Services (ERP, HCM, SCM, etc.), and Oracle cloud-native tools (e.g., Oracle Autonomous Database, Oracle Integration Cloud, Oracle Analytics Cloud).
- Strong understanding of cloud design patterns, microservices, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud security best practices.
- Oracle Cloud certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect (Associate/Professional), Oracle Cloud Applications, or related certifications are highly desirable.
- Additional certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) or cloud architecture are a plus.
- Experience in leading teams, mentoring junior architects, and working with senior management and clients.
- Ability to drive discussions and decisions in a collaborative environment, providing technical expertise to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design complex cloud solutions and provide strategic recommendations.
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and multi-cloud strategies.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud security tools and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines) in Oracle Cloud.
- Knowledge of Oracle database technologies and cloud-based database solutions.
