we are looking for an experienced Data Modeller. In this role, you will work closely with the Data Architect, business stakeholders, and developers. You will be responsible for modelling business domains and definitions in the Logical Data Model (LDM) and translating these into an effective and robust Technical Data Model (TDM) for the Corporate Data Warehouse. Additionally, you will act as a key link between the organization, process and data owners, and the Data Services team.
Responsibilities
- Modelling customer's business domains and their definitions in a Logical Data Model
- Designing the Technical Data Model to be implemented in the Corporate Data Warehouse, based on the LDM
- Aligning the LDM with process and data owners, Business Information Advisors, and information analysts within Data Services
- Aligning the TDM with developers
- Improving processes where necessary to develop a solid LDM and coordinating this with the organization and developers
- Acting as a liaison between the organization, data/process owners, and Data Services
- Ensuring the LDM meets the needs of the organization and is actively promoted internally
- Enhancing existing logical and physical data models where needed
- Ensuring the TDM aligns with what has been or is being developed
- Supporting knowledge development among developers and team members
Requirements
- Academic working and thinking level (WO)
- At least 5 years of experience designing both logical and physical data models
- At least 5 years of experience in data modelling for data warehouses
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a data modeller in the context of data warehouses (with or without a geometric component)
- Experience with data modelling tools
- Familiarity with Kimball/star modelling, third normal form, and Data Vault modelling techniques
- Experience working with government organizations
