Job Description – ServiceNow Asset Management Developer
About the Role
MLE Systems is looking for an experienced ServiceNow Asset Management Developer to design, configure, and maintain solutions in the IT Asset Management (ITAM) suite, with strong hands-on experience in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM). The candidate will focus on delivering scalable solutions, integrating with other modules, and ensuring compliance and cost optimization across the asset lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Build and implement solutions within the ServiceNow ITAM framework, with emphasis on HAM & SAM.
- Configuration & Customization: Configure and customize catalog items, portals, and workflows to meet business requirements.
- Integration: Create and maintain integrations with other ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Procurement) and external systems.
- Automation: Use Flow Designer and scripting to automate asset management processes.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Design reports and dashboards to provide visibility into asset data, utilization, compliance, and performance.
- Support & Enhancements: Provide ongoing maintenance, defect resolution, and enhancements for ITAM solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation for scripts, update sets, and technical workflows.
Required Skills (Must-Haves)
- ServiceNow Development Expertise: Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies.
- HAM & SAM Modules: Proven experience working on ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).
- Integrations: Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and data integrations across systems.
- Workflow Automation: Strong knowledge of Flow Designer and workflow automation in ServiceNow.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Ability to create dynamic dashboards and KPIs in ServiceNow.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and solutioning skills.
- Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work closely with stakeholders, asset managers, and technical teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to ServiceNow ITOM / CMDB integrations.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow licensing models for ITAM.
- ServiceNow CIS–ITAM certification preferred.
