Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in developing, testing, and implementing automation solutions in a new environment. This role involves close collaboration with the Automation Solution Architect (SA) and may require occasional onsite travel to Salzburg, Austria. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scripting, DevOps practices, and automation tooling, with a passion for building scalable and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and implement automation solutions as per architectural design specifications.
- Collaborate closely with the Automation Solution Architect to align on technical requirements and solution design.
- Work in a greenfield environment to build automation from the ground up.
- Ensure high-quality code and automation workflows through rigorous testing and validation.
- Maintain documentation for developed solutions and workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide support during deployment and post-implementation phases.
- Travel to Salzburg, Austria, as needed for project coordination and implementation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in automation and DevOps roles.
- Strong expertise in:
- Ansible: Workflow design, visualization, and advanced playbook development.
- Python scripting for automation and integration tasks.
- REST API integration and development.
- DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience working in agile and collaborative environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in DevOps, Ansible, or related automation technologies.
- Experience working in international or cross-cultural teams.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
Travel Requirement:
- Occasional travel to Salzburg, Austria, may be required for project-related activities.
