The Murex DevOps Engineer is responsible for managing, automating, and supporting Murex (MX.3) application environments across development, testing, and production. The role focuses on CI/CD, environment stability, release management, monitoring, and close collaboration with Murex functional, technical, and infrastructure teams.





Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support Murex MX.3 environments (DEV, SIT, UAT, PROD)
  • Automate build, deployment, and release processes for Murex components
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.)
  • Perform Murex version upgrades, patches, and hotfix deployments
  • Support End-of-Day (EOD), Start-of-Day (SOD), and batch processes
  • Monitor application performance, system health, and logs
  • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in incident management
  • Collaborate with:
  • Murex functional teams
  • Murex technical teams
  • Infrastructure, DB, and Middleware teams
  • Maintain deployment scripts, documentation, and operational runbooks
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and change management processes
  • Support disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity activities



Required Technical Skills

Murex Skills

  • Strong experience with Murex MX.3
  • Understanding of Murex architecture and components:
  • Databases
  • Interfaces
  • Batch framework
  • Datamart
  • Knowledge of Murex environments and configuration management
  • Experience in Banking projects

DevOps & Automation

  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps
  • Scripting: Shell, Python, Perl
  • Configuration management: Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
  • Version control: Git
  • Artifact management: Nexus, Artifactory

Infrastructure & Systems

  • Operating Systems: Linux / Unix
  • Databases: Oracle (strongly preferred), SQL
  • Middleware: WebLogic, Tomcat
  • Monitoring tools: Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK
  • Scheduling tools: Control-M, Autosys



Nice to Have

  • Cloud exposure: AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
  • ITIL knowledge
  • Experience in investment banking or capital markets
  • Dutch language skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
