Mid-Senior (Min 5+ years of Snowflake experience)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Data Professional to join our Stockholm-based team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in migrating legacy systems to Snowflake and leveraging its advanced suite of features—including Cortex AI and Data Sharing—to deliver secure, scalable, and intelligent data solutions.
The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of traditional Data Warehousing and cutting-edge AI, specifically within the rigorous regulatory landscape of the banking domain.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Migration: Lead and execute complex data migration projects from on-premise or legacy cloud systems to Snowflake.
- Advanced Feature Implementation: Architect and implement Snowflake Cortex AI for LLM-based analytics and use Snowflake OpenFlow (and related workflow orchestration) to streamline data pipelines.
- Data Sharing & Ecosystems: Design and manage secure Data Sharing protocols to facilitate seamless collaboration with internal partners and external financial entities.
- ETL/ELT Architecture: Build robust, automated pipelines using tools like dbt, Matillion, or Airflow, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
- Banking Domain Excellence: Apply deep understanding of financial data structures, regulatory compliance (GDPR, Basel III), and security protocols.
- Optimization: Perform hands-on tuning of Snowflake warehouses, clustering keys, and materialized views to manage costs and performance.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Snowflake Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated, hands-on experience with the Snowflake Data Cloud. Snowflake Certification (Pro or Architect) is a major plus.
- Data Warehousing: Mastery of Star/Snowflake schemas, SCD types, and Kimball/Inmon methodologies.
- AI/ML Integration: Proven experience (or deep theoretical knowledge) of Snowflake Cortex for integrated AI functions.
- Financial Services Background: Prior experience in the banking or fintech sector is essential to understand the nuances of transactional data and security.
- Code Proficiency: Expert-level SQL and strong proficiency in Python, PySpark or Scala.
- Modern Stack: Experience with Snowflake OpenFlow, Streamlit, and modern DevOps/DataOps practices.
