The Role
As a Scrum Master, you are the connecting link within a multidisciplinary team of 12 professionals. You bring structure, synergy, and improvement to an environment where Scrum is still maturing. With a coaching and facilitating approach, you ensure short lines of communication, clear goals, and optimal team performance within a complex, dynamic context.
Your Responsibilities:
- Coaching: Guide teams in applying Agile principles; promote collaboration, communication, and self-organization.
- Facilitation: Lead Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives).
- Refinement: Support effective refinement processes and help the team write clear, actionable tickets.
- Culture: Foster a culture of continuous learning through reflection, feedback, and experimentation.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the Product Owner to keep the product vision and backlog achievable; navigate complex stakeholder interests.
- Tooling: Correctly set up and configure JIRA projects.
- Team Building: Forge a harmonious team built on trust; address underlying team tensions ("the undercurrent").
- Process Design: Formulate clear processes and ensure project documentation is findable, traceable, and up-to-date.

Skills & Competencies:
- Deep knowledge of Agile/Scrum frameworks (SAFe or other scaling models are a plus).
- Excellent communication in Dutch and English (clear, concise, and adapted to your audience).
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering or Linked Data is a plus.
Education & Certification:
- Scrum Master certification (PSM I/II, CSM, or equivalent) or several years of recent experience.
- Additional certifications like Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC) are a plus.
