Technical + Functional CLM Consultant / Product Manager
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) Consultant / Product Manager who combines strong functional expertise in enterprise CLM platforms with deep technical understanding of integrations, AI-driven automation, enterprise architecture, and scalable workflow design.
This role will partner with Legal, Procurement, Compliance, Security, and Engineering teams to assess the current CLM landscape, define future-state architecture, and drive modernization initiatives leveraging AI/LLM technologies and enterprise integrations.
The ideal candidate should come from a strong CLM product, implementation, or consulting background with hands-on exposure to enterprise systems, APIs, workflow automation, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled legal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional / Business Responsibilities
- Conduct structured workshops and discovery sessions with Legal, Procurement, Compliance, Security, Finance, and IT stakeholders to understand current contract lifecycle workflows, pain points, and operational gaps.
- Analyze existing CLM implementations (Oracle CLM or similar) and benchmark against modern CLM platforms such as:
- Icertis
- Conga
- SirionLabs
- Ironclad
- Agiloft
- ContractPodAI
- Document current-state workflows, approval matrices, clause management processes, metadata structures, obligation tracking, and reporting gaps.
- Create business process maps, functional requirement documents, gap analyses, and future-state recommendations.
- Define enterprise CLM transformation roadmap including workflow optimization, automation opportunities, governance, and compliance improvements.
- Collaborate with executive stakeholders to align CLM strategy with broader enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Design scalable CLM solution architecture integrating with enterprise systems such as:
- ERP (Oracle, SAP)
- CRM (Salesforce)
- Procurement systems
- Identity & Access Management systems
- Document management platforms
- E-signature solutions (DocuSign, Adobe Sign)
- Work closely with engineering teams on:
- API integrations
- Data models
- Workflow orchestration
- Metadata architecture
- Security and access controls
- Evaluate and recommend AI/LLM-based legal automation use cases including:
- Clause extraction
- Contract summarization
- Risk scoring
- Obligation extraction
- Intelligent redlining
- Contract review copilots
- Agentic workflow automation
- Define technical requirements for:
- Workflow engines
- Rule engines
- Search/indexing
- OCR/NLP pipelines
- Reporting and analytics
- Partner with enterprise architects and engineering teams to define scalable cloud-native CLM architecture.
- Support integration design using REST APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture, and microservices principles.
- Drive data migration and metadata normalization strategies during CLM transformation programs.
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to evaluate GenAI adoption opportunities within legal operations.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in CLM, LegalTech, enterprise workflow platforms, or digital transformation consulting.

- Prior experience collaborating with engineering, AI/ML, and enterprise architecture teams.
- Background in SaaS product management or enterprise platform modernization.
- Consulting experience with Fortune 500 clients preferred.
