Role Descriptions
Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications. Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Codes, tests, debugs, maintains and refines the computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency.
Working under the direction of the Mid-Tier Developer, Senior Developer, Technical Lead / Project Lead, Project Manager or Business Analyst, the Junior Developer is responsible for the development of program specifications, as well as detail design documents, including:
o Coding, unit testing and debugging application programs
o Creating and deploying code releases to the various environments (e.g., SIT, UAT & PROD), including the creation of all supporting documentation
o Assisting Users in testing, training, and preparation for operations, as required
o Demonstrating an adequate understanding / proficiency in the relevant technologies (i.e., object-oriented), including the supporting development tools and coding techniques
o Previously worked on at least one of the following technology platforms as a Developer: Mainframe, Client-Server, WEB, Cloud
o Actively participates in systems application design, including the use of analytical techniques
o Participating in the development of functional specifications
o Developing prototypes based on functional specifications
o Designing application sub-systems, as well as small stand-alone systems
o Developing program specifications and detail design documents
Needed Experience
A minimum of 2 years of experience in all the requisite responsibilities and technologies
