Role Overview
Seeking hands-on OT Connectivity Engineer with strong experience in PLC integration, industrial protocols, edge gateways, and Kunbus RevPI platforms. The individual will be responsible for assessing machine connectivity, configuring industrial edge devices, collecting machine telemetry data, and enabling MQTT-based connectivity between production equipment and enterprise systems. The role requires significant onsite presence within manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform machine connectivity assessments across production equipment.
- Configure and deploy Kunbus RevPI devices.
- Integrate PLCs, sensors, and industrial equipment with MQTT infrastructure.
- Configure industrial communications including:
- Modbus RTU/TCP
- OPC-UA
- Profinet
- Ethernet/IP
- Implement signal collection and protocol conversion.
- Configure edge gateways and MQTT topic structures.
- Troubleshoot network, protocol, and connectivity issues.
Required Experience
- 7+ years in Industrial Automation or OT Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Kunbus RevPi
- PLC Integration
- Industrial Gateways
- MQTT
- Edge Computing
- Industrial Data Acquisition
- Experience working directly on manufacturing shop floors.
- Knowledge of industrial networking and controls architectures.
- Ability to independently conduct audits, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
